What services are provided?
At accessAbilities, Caregivers understand the importance of compassionate and dependable individualized service. Serving those with physical, developmental or intellectual disabilities, Caregivers/Attendants at accessAbilities, offer a host of home- and community-based services. accessAbilities Home & Community Services provide quality direct care to help clients maintain independence in their home by assisting with activities of daily living and respite care.
Who can qualify for services?
Home & Community Services are available to assist youth and adults with disabilities. Coping with illnesses or injuries such as Multiple Sclerosis or MS; Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS; Traumatic Brain Injury; Cerebral Palsy; Dementia; Stroke; Arthritis; and surgeries such as knee surgery, are just a few of the ways in which accessAbilities serves. Specialized care is also available for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Eligible adults may receive services as long as needed. Services such as housekeeping, errands, meal preparations, banking assistance as well as consumer-directed services such as wound care, catheter care, and medical and community activity transportation are just some of the ways Home & Community Services can help.
Who pays for the services?
Participants in the program can choose to private pay for services. Funding is available through Pennsylvania State programs such as the PA Department of Human Services Waiver Programs and Area Agency on Aging.
How do you become eligible?
- 18 Years of age to 59 - go to PA Department of Human Service to learn more about available funding
- 60 years of age and older – to Area Agency on Aging to learn more about available funding
- Adults with Intellectual Disabilities are typically funded through the PA Department of Human Services Waiver Program. If no funding is available, private pay can be arranged.
